Little  UNITY  -  FREE entertainment and activities

Children and our youth are an integral part of the commUNITY.

Activities kick off at 12.30pm and finish at 5.30pm with the children invited to lead a festival parade with a special Chinese Dragon at 5.30pm. The parade celebrates our children and gives them an opportunity to be in the spotlight in the main festival arena.

Under the guidance of experienced local artists and entertainers children and youth will be encouraged to explore, imagine, create, discover and build things using a medley of recycled materials with the incredibly talented Trashformers.

Performances include:

• Creative art workshop making and decorating a Vietnamese hat and helping with the final decorations of the Chinese Dragon
• A hour hour around the world performance by The Curly Cousin -  fun-filled children’s music and scripted show for children 2–10 years

• Hoopla Circus Workshop – an interactive activity encouraging balance, motion and agility plus performance

• Hello Africa Drumming Workshop – highly energetic and loads of beating fun for all ages

• Joella’s Magical Face Painting – creative painting by professional face artist Joella

• Aunty Bakoi Bolton Weaving Workshop -  Aunty Bakoi Bolton shares her knowledge of the intricate weaves of Murray Island with coconut weaving

• Join Mira with her Celtic tunes, accordion and assorted bells and whistles
